For the final costume for Masha, Franzesca and I pleated, basted, and starched 8 yards of grey wool, before fitting it to the actress’s waist and adding a waistband.
I also crocheted the mantle for the character of Olga. Evoking the style of Irish crochet, I crocheted flower shapes out of perle cotton, mounting the flowers on netting and then chaining them together.
